About:
This past year we applied and received a grant from FIRST Upper Midwest to help everyone learn more about LGBTQIA+ peers. With the grant, our team is working on a series of projects to spread awareness about the community. These projects include having a training session on education about the LGBTQIA+ community for FIRST mentors and sports/clubs coaches and buying books and resources for our library. These resources include information about LGBTQIA+ students in STEM, mental health, and discrimination for LGBTQIA+ teens as well as novels written about or by members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Our team is compromised of both Ally's and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Check out our cool lanyards at our events!
